Still Catching Up

We visted Reno, NV two weeks ago and just spent a week here in Spokane with Auntie Katie and Grandma Barson. Needless to say I'll be updating with those photos soon (I hope). I regret that I am getting more forgetfull about taking pictures. I didn't get a group photos with the Will's in Reno. I am also very sad that we (John and I) took almost no pictures in the last week. Maybe Katie and Linda will forgive me and share CDs from their cameras and I can update more. We just seemed to be constantly busy or exhausted or both.

The August's Visit

We all really enjoyed the visit from the August family in early March. Bridget, Mike, Claire, and Argo came for a long weekend. The kids got along very well and Claire was as happy as could be.

We went downtown to ride Spokane's famouse Looff Carrousel (originally manufactured and delivered to its first home in 1909). Visit this site for more cool info: http://spokanecarrousel.org/index.html

Claire is riding on Geri Giraffe, which was carved in 1895. Cool huh?

Babes are wrapped up and ready for a stroll through the park on our way to the toys.

I loved this super-cheezy grin from Everett riding on the swings with Claire.

Bridget and Claire having a great time. Claire giggled and squealed with delight. It was too cute.

Bridget took a break from pushing the babes to ride along with Sophia. Both of them did very well pumping their legs to get moving.

Sophia (dressed a princess Belle) helped 'silly Mike' to feed Claire. It was hilarious and tedious to watch. Sophia tried very hard to be coordinated and quick. Claire was very hungry and reminded me of an impatient baby bird in a nest...mouth open-wide and squaking for food.

Both Bridget and Mike are awesome at getting down and playing with the kids. Here are a few campers in the tent (Argo is somewhere in there to). Sophia loved playing with a 'more-tolerant' baby. Meaning, Claire is still small enough to be okay with being held for a minute or two.

I was changing Everett's sheets when all the kids decided that this was the place to be. They were bouncing on the mattress and enjoying each others laughter.

March Update

We received yet another blanket of snow in the first week of March. That is Spokane over the cliff. The view is oriented south-east.

Everett enjoys walking about the deck. He decided to help out and sweep a little while he was out there.

Our community recently received a brand new elementary school. It is about a mile from our house and the kids and I have visited a few times. These are swings geared for the disabled. Everett and Sophia thought they were fun too.

It was great getting them out of the house for a bit of fresh air.
