Let's Compare

Here are pictures of each when they were about 8 weeks old. It is funny because I recognize their personalities already.

This is Sophia...looking somewhat skeptical, not too impressed with much, and ready to cry at any moment. She had a lot more hair, although darker color. A few pounds lighter too.

Here is sunny, happy Everett smiling away. Lighter and less hair with his prominent hairline. They both have blue eyes.
I think they have the same nose for sure. I don't know about any other similarities. And NO, they don't look like Grandpa Barson!

Pics of Big Sister

Sophia is finally settling into her role as 'big sister'. She often gives 'baby brother' a kiss on the forhead or pats his belly. She also helps to burp him too. She still needs to work on being gentle around him when he is on his activity mat on the floor.

This is her eating a clown ice cream cone from Baskin and Robbins. I used to make these when I was employed there during my youth. Notice how we took the shirt of for this fun snack.

She loves holding him. At this point when he is crying she just says "get his binkie momma!"

She played pretty hard at the montessori one day and was pooped by 7:00pm. Now that the days are warming up she is always trying to get outside. This was a very rare cuddling moment for her...she rarely snuggles up to anyone.

March Update

Here are some photos of Everett. He just went in for his check up and vaccinations and all is well. Very well, actually. He weighs nearly 14lbs (90th percentile for other babies his age) and he is 23 3/4 inches (75th percentile). Everett is still a pretty happy baby and most often easy to care for. Don't get me wrong...we are still busy as heck! Sophia counts as two toddlers.

Everett loves his baths. This is him at 8 weeks.

Bundled up and going for a walk with his big sister in the double-decker stroller. I'll post a picture of it some day. It is so large that I can't fit anything else in the trunk of my car.

A smirk expression while he sleeps. He didn't stay this way for long since he still prefers being tightly swaddled while sleeping.

Thanks for the adorable onesie from Spain Auntie Katie...at 9 weeks he is pretty much too big already.

I love his smile. He gets much cheekier. I caught the tail end of a big grin. He is 10 weeks here. We actually bought this Osh Kosh outfit for Sophia when we first thought she was going to be a boy.

So he is 12 weeks here (not quite 3 months) and this is a Carter's 6 month outfit. Need I say more. He loves to eat.

Fell asleep on Dada's shoulder while getting burped. Too cute.
